The BIOS (Basic Input/Output Subsystem) is a piece of software
residing on a Flash ROM (software-changeable Read-Only Memory).
The BIOS settings can usually by reached by hitting F2. The main
change that needs to be made is the hardware boot sequence.
Normally the hardware tries to find the operating system on the
hard drive. If that fails it tries the CDROM and then the floppy
drive. In order to install a new system you need to change the
order so that the system tries to read from the CDROM first.
